At out recent membership meeting, Local 1000 thanked outgoing Canadian Vice President Ken Whiteley with a gift of funky socks (because Ken always wears funky socks) and an apron (because Ken is a fabulous cook). President Tret Fure also recognized Ken for his outstanding contributions to the union by presenting him with the Utah Phillips Award for his outstanding contribution to Local 1000. Thank you Ken, for your many years of service, we are proud to have you in our union!
