I sing English pub songs and ballads, American folk songs, shanties, and some Irish and Scottish songs. I occasionally write songs and parodies often having to do with biology, science and nature. I sing both a cappella and accompanied on a variety of string and free reed instruments. I also play traditional Irish dance music. Armand Aromin and I host Irish tune session and pub sings in Rhode Island and elsewhere in New England. We also perform as a duo called The Vox Hunters at festivals, concert venues, coffeeshops, house concerts and smaller venues mainly in New England and we are fond of participatory, social folk singing. I teach private lessons on anglo concertina. Armand and I are also enthusiastic researchers and interpreters of folk songs, broadside ballads, etc. We are currently working on a project concerning the traditional music of Rhode Island.
